Course Description

 Purpose:

This self-paced training course describes and demonstrate how to troubleshoot the IoT Controller by overviewing basic CLI functions using the console command debugger, how to backup and restore database files from one IoT Controller to another , how to export the Event Debugger log and send it to the Ruckus Support team, how to interpret events in the event log to assist with troubleshooting, how to debug individual plugins, and how to start and stop key user services.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for RUCKUS sales personnel, system engineers, VARs, and RUCKUS Partners desiring a high-level understanding of all RUCKUS products.

Course Objectives:  

• Describe logging into the Ruckus IoT controller Console, giving an overview of basic CLI functions and demonstrate using the console command debugger to validate that the system is operating.
• Describe how to backup and restore database files from one IoT Controller to another using the applications to migrate configurations between Controllers.
• Demonstrate how to export the Event Debugger log and sending it to the Ruckus Support team for TAC/Support.
• Describe an overview of events in the Event log and how these can assist with insight into issues and status of the network.
• Describe an overview of Individual plugin debug and log files for debugging and status updates.
• Demonstrate how to use the Admin/Services Tab to find issues and view logs plus start stop key user services.

Prerequisites: 

Before taking this course, students should have working knowledge of:  

• Wireless Networking Fundamentals
• Layer 2, Layer 3 Networking: MAC addressing, bridging/switching, VLANs, 802.1Q
• Introduction to RUCKUS Wireless Products
• Knowledge of installing and configuring vSZ.
