Course Description

Who should attend:

The RUCKUS Accredited SmartZone Administrator (RASZA) 200 course is intended for Ruckus employees and partner Systems Engineers (SEs) who will be configuring SmartZone and Virtual SmartZone (vSZ) network controllers, ICX switches, and RUCKUS access points.

Purpose of the Training

The primary objective of this training is to offer foundational instruction in the installation, administration, and advanced setup of SmartZone Software 6.0, encompassing both SmartZone and vSZ. Additionally, it encompasses the management and resolution of issues related to Access Points (APs) while utilizing the reporting, analytics, and diagnostic capabilities offered by SmartZone Release 6.0 for both physical and virtual deployments, including High Scale and Essentials setups. Furthermore, the course aims to furnish comprehensive insights into ICX device management within SmartZone Software 6.0.

• Overview of RUCKUS SmartZone hardware and software
• Install and upgrade the SmartZone controller
• Explain the architecture of the SmartZone controller
• Configure Domains and Zones
• Create and assign Administrator account and passwords
• Create basic WLANs, WLAN groups, schedules and VLAN pools
• Create Bonjour Gateway and Firewall Policies and Profiles 
• Manage clustering and fault tolerance
• Advanced AP Configurations in SmartZone
• User Authentication and 802.1X and Authenticating users with Portals 
• Guest Access and Guest Passes
• Understand and generate reports and analytics using SmartZone 
• Understand and use troubleshooting tools in SmartZone
• View events, alarms, and AP health information in SmartZone 
• Register ICX devices to SmartZone
• Perform configurations on ICX devices with Switch Groups and on ICX devices individually.
• Manage and Monitor ICX devices in SmartZone 6.0
